Leadership Scott County Kentucky

The 2023-24 Leadership Scott County application process is now OPEN! Leadership Scott County (LSC) is a 10-month program consisting of local history, education, government, agriculture, economics, health care and public services provide participants the background knowledge of our community. The program is designed to enhance participants leadership qualities, building a wider network of connections among the class and community, as well as learning of the challenges faced and opportunities available within Scott County. Application deadline is on or before April 28, 2023, by 5:00pm EST.

  • July 20, 2023 - Orientation Reception
  • August 24-25, 2023 - Overnight Retreat
  • September 28, 2023 - Session 1
  • October 19, 2023 - Session 2
  • November 16, 2023 - Session 3
  • December 21, 2024 - Session 4
  • January 18, 2024 - Session 5
  • February 15, 2024 - Session 6
  • March 21, 2024 - Session 7
  • April 18, 2024 - Session 8
  • May 13, 2024 - Graduation and Reflection
Session Description Each session will focus on a topic, such as Agriculture, Economic Development, Public Service, Government, Education, Healthcare, History and Culture. Class members will go on walking tours of organizations and sites as well as interact with community leaders. Place and Time Day sessions last an average of eight hours beginning at 8:00 a.m. and concluding at 5:00 p.m. Sessions are located within Scott County. Agendas are emailed one week prior to each session. Participants will meet promptly at the Scott County Public Library before each session. Transportation Transportation is provided by Leadership Scott County, Inc.
